Since 2021, Time & Again have been staging a yearly Shakespeare in the Park event, where we tour our take on the Bard to outdoor and site specific locations across the North.

Our adaptations blend Shakespeare’s stories with our strong period settings whilst also incorporating feminist and LGBTQ+ themes that we think are essential to represent in revivals of classical texts. Time & Again’s Shakespeare in the Park adaptations have received 5 star reviews, Offie and GM Fringe award nominations and multiple sell-out dates.

In August 2021 we staged A Midsummer Night’s Dream in collaboration with Wilmslow Town Council at The Carrs Park in Wilmslow for three dates. Set in the 1980s, our Dream featured striking miners, New Romantic fairies, and a big royal wedding!

Following the success of 2021’s event, in June and July 2022 Time & Again revived their joyous 1980s themed version of Midsummer as well as staging a brand new adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing, set in the 1950s during the heyday of the Great British seaside holiday! They toured both shows to parks including the Carrs in Wilmslow, Stanley Park in Blackpool and Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds. Both shows were also performed as part of the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival including a sell-out immersive performance of Much Ado in the empty swimming pool of Victoria Baths!
